In our latest release, Kanoa MES v1.11, we’re expanding what manufacturers can see, track, and optimize — from performance loss visibility to structured lot traceability. This release helps teams unlock more meaningful OEE analysis, enhance traceability, and streamline the customization and deployment of dashboards across the enterprise.
Here’s what’s new and why it matters.
Performance Reason Coding fills the final gap in full OEE visibility.
In Kanoa Ops, Availability and Quality losses have long been supported with Downtime and Scrap Reasons. Now, with the addition of Performance Reasons, users can categorize speed losses — the often-overlooked piece of the puzzle.
Define performance reason classes (e.g., bottleneck at filler, low on infeed, or not enough personnel)
Filter reasons by asset and item to keep operator selections focused
Analyze speed losses with new dashboard widgets:
Bar Chart
Pie Chart
Table View
This brings true parity to all three OEE components — empowering users to identify the most impactful drivers of performance loss.
We’ve refined downtime analytics to exclude events outside of production runs, removing irrelevant noise from your reports and dashboards.
New system functions return production-only state events and summaries, making it easier to:
Isolate downtime that actually affects throughput
Create shift-based dashboards with focused data
Ensure downtime categories reflect real loss, not idle time between runs
Developers: We’ve also deprecated the old functions, so check the release notes for details on migrating your views.
A new serial number generator helps you build traceable lot numbers for Kanoa Trace with logic — not spreadsheets.
Define custom formats: prefix, suffix, zero-padded length, and starting value
Use system functions to get the next serial, add, delete, or update
Maintain consistency across batches and lines without reinventing your numbering scheme each time
This feature makes it easier to ensure consistency across batches, production lines, and product types.
Need to associate extra data with a lot — like material grade, supplier, or inspection result?
Now you can.
Custom lot attributes let you attach structured metadata to lots, enhancing traceability and analytics. These attributes are also available in the Lot Attribute Table on the Trace Graph screen, giving users a direct view of critical context.
The Asset Operation Screen continues to evolve — and with v1.11, it's more powerful and configurable than ever.
Our latest update allows teams to control which Kanoa screens are accessible to operators on a per-asset basis. Combined with recent enhancements to the Asset Operation Screen and Asset Info Panel, this release delivers a comprehensive toolkit for customizing operator interfaces.
Using Kanoa's no-code Dashboard Editor, teams can now design tailored operation screens with specific widgets, layouts, and links — all aligned to how their plant floor actually runs. Whether you're building for a single workstation or deploying templates across multiple lines, Kanoa lets you craft intuitive, role-specific UIs without writing a line of code.
The new Production Order Event Search makes finding scheduled production events faster and more intuitive.
Whether you're debugging a missed start or reviewing historical execution, this enhancement helps you:
Quickly locate production events by ID or status
Reduce time spent tracking down schedule data
Support improved traceability and audit readiness
Now you can export and import dashboard widgets to share across environments — whether between dev and prod, or across facilities.
This makes it easier to:
Reuse well-designed analytics components
Standardize dashboards across sites
Accelerate deployment for new users or across projects
Kanoa v1.11 is all about giving you sharper tools — ones that don’t just collect data, but help you act on it. Whether you’re chasing better OEE, cleaner traceability, or a faster rollout of operator tools, this release takes you a step closer to world-class digital operations.
